{Episode 8}


Luke travelled to the village with Cynthia to see his mom. But adaora was left in the city to take care of everything in the house.
When they arrived at the village, Mrs ebube was sitting in front of her house reading a newspaper.

Luke: good afternoon mom
Mrs ebube: hey my son. Welcome
Cynthia: good afternoon ma'am
Mrs ebube: you all are welcome, come inside
(They all went into the house and sat down.)
Mrs ebube: my son you now look so thin. Cynthia have you been treating him well?
Cynthia: of course I take good care of him
Mrs ebube: Luke how is adaora, I thought she will come with you guys
Luke: I told her to stay back so that she can take care of things in the house
Mrs ebube: okay, about you and your wife. Have you guys gone to the hospital to conduct tests concerning her been unable to give birth
Luke: no, we haven't
Mrs ebube: why?
Luke: my wife said we should wait a little more
Mrs ebube: a little more? There's no time oh. I need grandchildren
Luke: you will get grandchildren soon
Mrs ebube: I pray so ooh. Let me get you guys some food to eat
Luke: okay mom, I've missed your food oh
Mrs ebube: abi (left to get food for them)

The next day Mrs ebube came back from the market and she called Cynthia to go and cook what she bought from the market
Mrs ebube: Cynthia!
Cynthia:(came out) yes ma
Mrs ebube: I just came back from the market. I bought some food stuffs and I want you to help me cook egusi soup with it.
Cynthia: okay ma (nervously went into the kitchen)
Luke: (came out) oh mom you are back from the market?
Mrs ebube: yeah
Luke: where's my wife
Mrs ebube: I told her to help me cook egusi soup
Luke: okay, let me check on her (left to the kitchen)
Cynthia: Luke, thank God you are here, I have no idea of how to cook egusi soup. Can you help me?
Luke: why didn't you tell her that you can't cook?
Cynthia: are you okay at all? How did you expect me to tell her that I can't cook
Luke: just seat down on that chair, I will cook the food
(As Luke was cooking the soup his mom came in)
Mrs ebube: Luke what are you doing? I asked your wife to cook not you
Luke: I just want to help her. She's not feeling so well
Mrs ebube: okay my son. I love the way you take care of your wife, you are a husband material
Luke:(smiles) thanks mom
Mrs ebube: when you are done let me know
Luke: no problem mom.
